Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ryanne is a 10 month old purebred red/white female BC. Lots of energy, learns quickly, loving, bossy, gets along with other dogs.
Ryanne has settled in very well to her foster home here. She is learning commands such as Sit, Stay, Down, Come and Leave It. Each day she does a little bit better with each one. Those that require not moving for a length of time are the toughest for her. She has a lot of energy even for a puppy! She is very eager to please though, and almost gets a hurt look in her eyes when she knows she has done something that displeases you. She is so gentle and soft-spoken, if it wasn’t for her energy level you wouldn’t know she was in the house. She is getting along great with other dogs, kids, adults and all socialization opportunities she has had. We took her camping this last weekend and other than not liking being tethered to a rope in the campsite, she took to it like second nature. She barks very rarely and only if Cody starts it first. She ABSOLUTELY LOVES to play wrestle with him and he now has her chasing squirrels, birds, butterflies, and anything else that moves. She shows the typical herding pose when she wants to invite him to a game of catch-me-if-you-can. And she loves to stalk him, creeping up on him slowly to see if she can stare him down. She can’t, he has the will of a bull. She always gives in and moves first in every stare down contest.
She will enter her crate on command and has no problems being in when we are gone. She cried in the beginning but I slowly worked her up to being gone and returning and now she just lies down and waits for us to return. She eats good, loves to drink plenty of water and has no fear of loud noises, strangers, new situations, etc. She is really great, she will make a fantastic companion; either for sport which she has the drive for, or for companion member of the family, which she has the personality for.
I really cannot forward any negative attributes that I have observed in her, she is BC high strung but that’s normal I reckon. She does have a tendency to get a little bored and chew on sticks and dirt and other items found in the yard if you leave her unattended. She has pawed the ground, but never really dug holes. She is a little untrustworthy off leash still; she knows not to wander off but can’t help herself sometimes. We continue to work towards this goal.
