Chip's Story...
Chip, his brother Teddy and his mother Lucy were pulled out of North Central Shelter near Downtown LA. They had been living on the streets until animal control picked them up. There were 3 pups but one didn't make it. :( Chip is healthy, happy and safe in a loving foster home with his mom & brother. He appears to be a min-pin, daschund, chihuahua mix of some sort. I would guess that he will be less than 12 lbs. once he is full grown. He is about 7 weeks old and starting to eat on his own. He is too young to be neutered or vaccinated at this time but we would arrange to get that done once he is ready.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chip, a Los Angeles Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
