Dexter's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Dexter's Story...
Dexter is an adorable Chihuahua, a tri-color. He is estimated at 2 y/o and is 11#. He is healthy, heartworm negative, current on all vaccinations, neutered and microchipped.
Dexter gets along with the other dogs in his foster home. He is a sweet dog, and a typical lap dog. He is house trained and walks well on a leash. He will make a wonderful companion dog. Dexter's adoption fee is $125. There is no fee to transfer the microchip registration. With the adoption you also receive 30 days of free pet health insurance from Shelter Care.
If you are interested in meeting Dexter, please go to our website and complete an application, www.wimberleywagrescue.org. Applications are considered in the order in which they are received.
We do not have a facility so our dogs are in foster homes. Once we have your application we will set up a convenient time for you to meet the dog.

Our dogs are meant to be companion animals and are NOT to be outside only dogs. We DO NOT condone chaining. Most of our dogs require a fenced yard. Thank you

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dexter, a Wimberley Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Wimberley, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Wimberley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wimberley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wimberley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wimberley paves the way for another one to be saved.
