tia's Story...
location: Jacksonville, FL
this is a senior female (senior for senior candidate)

My fostermom and fosterdad think I'm tops! I'm so very easy to take care of. I will stay right by you when we're in the yard, and always come when called. I do well with kids and I live harmoniously with 7 other dogs. My previous family had me for 9 years, but they became unable to care for me any more. I like a little Quiet Time in my little crate sometimes, and I know when I hear paper rattle that there is something really yummy coming - so I jump and jump high. I know my manners and sit so pretty. I'm normally a quiet little girl, but I have no problem protecting my family from noises outside the house. I can be an only dog, like I was for 9 years, or I can enjoy being part of a "pack". My fostermom took a lot of pictures of me, and she'll be happy to share them with you. I'm looking for a forever home where no one minds if 2 of my teeth are missing, or that I'm little older; my fostermom says you would never know I was older because I can hop, jump and play, just like a youngster. I will make a "pawsome" little companion for the right family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

tia, a Jacksonville Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
