Nicky's Story...
Handsome Nicky has his own sad story to tell. His owner passed away last October. The family didn't want Nicky and his brother Buddy to be totally overwhelmed, so they were kind enough to leave them in the family home and have someone move into the house to stay and take care of them for 3 months - so they didn't have their entire lives turned upside down all at once!

Nicky came to us in February - a sad, confused little guy that was totally confused by what was going on around him. Today he is a happy, typical bichon boy - bouncing around the house and yard, "blitzing", playing, and best of all, Nicky has fallen in love!

Nicky met Isabel, and it was love at first sight! We really couldn't believe what we were seeing - he started bringing her "presents", dropping toys at her feet, bringing her sticks, or just following her around the yard. It really is quite cute, and we have absolutely enjoyed watching this blossoming romance!

Nicky is a healthy 8 year old, 12 pound, purebred bichon boy in perfect health - his owner made sure he was always extremely well cared for, and it shows. His coat is beautiful, and his teeth are perfect. At 8 he acts like a much younger dog, running and playing with all the dogs in his foster home.

If you would like to meet Nicky just let us know - we look forward to hearing from you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nicky, a Simi Valley Bichon Frise dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bichon Frise for sale in Simi Valley, or seeking a Bichon Frise dog from a breeder in Simi Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Simi Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Simi Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bichon Frise breeders who help with Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Simi Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
