Margaret is an incredibly sweet, 8 year old, long haired Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix. This little girl was possibly on the verge of starvation and anemic from the horrid flea infestation she had when first brought into the shelter. She was moved into a foster home about a week before Christmas and made a miraculous recovery. Margaret has improved from initially having difficulty walking to bouncing and strutting around as she tries to get your attention as her wining personality is now shining through. She uses her foster mom’s dog door to go outside when she needs to excuse herself. Her once dry, brittle, sparse coat is now growing in soft, thick and shiny. Margaret now has a good appetite eating dry dog food, which is better for her teeth, and is probably at her ideal weight of about 9 pounds. Margaret is heart worm negative, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and on heartworm and flea prevention.
