Chiclet was a bit of a wild child when she first came in, but she has calmed down a lot and is learning to love. She has actually become quit a lap cat, if you sit down she is usually one of the first cats to jump onto your lap and make herself comfortable. She is always requesting attention from anyone who walks in to visit. Chiclet is ready for her forever home and will make a excellent companion.

About Our Shelter...

We are an all-volunteer, non-profit animal shelter formed in 1986 to find homes for the dogs, cats lost within our city limits. We are a California non-profit 501-C3 corporation # 33-0192138 so all donations are tax deductible.

We are always in need of volunteers and have many areas in which you can share your talents. Please attend one of our volunteer classes to get started. More information is available on our website.

Come Meet Our Pets...

You can meet all of our wonderful animals at our center. We are open 7 days a week and can also arrange an appointment for you, if you are unable to visit us during regular business hours.

Mon-Wed-Fri 1pm-5pm
Tues & Thurs 2pm-4pm
Sat & Sun 11am-5pm

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption Fees
Dogs $120, Puppies under 6 months $160
Cats $50 over 5 years
Cats between 6 months-5 years $75
Kittens under 6 months $115

Dog adoptions include a written application and an on site interview. All family members, including other resident dogs, must meet the new dog.

The adoption process for cats and kittens includes:
A detailed application.
An interview with the potential adopter(s).
And a home visit, in some circumstances.

To ensure the best possible match for our cats and kittens, all applications are reviewed by our adoption committee and determination can take up to 48 hours.
