Thumb's Story...
What a perfect little man. Thumb has come miles in the last two weeks and we're happy to share that he's 90% potty trained (darn good for a 3 mo old), fully crate trained and walking well on a leash. He's learning to sit, to walk by his human's side and he's 100% ready to go to his forever home. This little guy likes to play and get goofy with humans, dogs and even alone with his toys when he needs some entertainment. Thumb loves tummy tubs and thinks giving kisses and getting side rubs from his humans are some of the best things in life! He loves to chase balls and play tug of war. He also really enjoys toys that make funny noises!

Fence/enclosed patio required for most dogs. We check your vet reference and fence. Dogs are current on vaccinations, HW negative, micro chipped, dental if needed and spayed/neutered. Email lldogrescue@yahoo.com for quickest response.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Thumb, a Shawnee Mission Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Shawnee Mission, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Shawnee Mission.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Shawnee Mission already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Shawnee Mission breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Shawnee Mission paves the way for another one to be saved.
