Shilo's Info...

I am good with kids and good with dogs.

Shilo's Story...
Shilo was dropped off at the shelter by a guy who says she was dumped at his house a few days ago. She is just as beautiful as she can be and as sweet. She is probably around 4-5 months old. We have her as a collie, lab mix because she has such a collie nose, but the rest of her looks like a yellow lab. Shilo will be spayed, up to date on shots, and heart worm tested upon completion of adoption. If you have a big place in your heart, family, and home for Shilo, please contact one of the volunteers and they can help you meet her. You can contact Melodie at 217-822-3980 or Linda at 217-466-1062 or Rachael at 217-712-0804 and please leave a message with your name and phone number so we can return the call as soon as we get it.

Act quickly to adopt Shilo. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shilo, a Paris Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Paris, or seeking a Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Paris.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Paris already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Paris breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Paris paves the way for another one to be saved.
