My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

EDDIE (ACR12-0001)
At ACR we love our seniors, and little EDDIE is no exception! At about 10 years old, and weighing in at a whopping 4 lbs, this poor little man has had a wretched life until now. Apparently, he was used as a breeding dog all his life. The male in the family didn't like him though, and when the wife became bed-ridden and unable to intervene, the husband would kick and abuse poor EDDIE. The husband had a heart attack and died a few days ago, his wife sent to a nursing home and all 4 dogs were dumped at the local kill shelter. Because of this horrible abuse, he is understandably a bit timid when someone new holds him, but eventually EDDIE settles down in your arms and will even fall asleep! He is very bright and needs a patient owner who understands that trust isn't earned overnight, but the rewards for earning that trust are immeasurable! Can *you* help EDDIE find safety and peace in a loving forever family?
