My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cat Rescue in the Greater Northern California Area
ETIENNE
3 yo +/- Seal Bicolor Ragdoll

Etienne is one of the cats that came to us from the Hart's Flat abandonment case. All of the 50 that were rescued from that group were boarded at Cat House on the Kings near Fresno, CA. When we went to pick up the cats for foster care, he was too "wild", and scared and wouldn't come with us. So, we took several other cats in his place and agreed that maybe it would be best if he spent his live at the Sanctuary. Well, one year later, there we were again, picking up cats from the Stanton abandonment case. (Are you seeing a pattern here? Why do people abandon cats all the time?) We were wandering the 17 acre sanctuary visiting with cats, and came upon this marvelous Ragdoll just begging us for attention. His eyes are so blue they are almost violet, and he has a beautiful coat to match his personality. Up he went to the house with us where we asked Lynea, the owner, if she'd like us to take him and find a home for him. She laughed and told us he was "one of ours". Apparently, over the winter, he decided he liked that nice warm spot in front of the wood stove in the house. He spent all winter hanging out, getting loved on, and living like a king. After that, he's become an amazing, affectionate cat, which has been our experience with all of the Hart's Flat cats. Etienne is now safely in a fostering home where he is joyously loving on his human companions. He is great with the other cats, but a little confused when a couple of the Diva's chase him away from his foster mom's lap. He'd love to find his very own home, or go live in a foster home with fewer cats. Etienne also does well with dogs and might also be fine with children. He appears to have taken to the Indoor Only life in Rescue, as he's been superb with the use of the litter box.
