My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Skeeter! I am being abandoned because my owner is having back surgery in February. I have never known a bad day. I've lived with my family of people, cats and other dogs since I was born. I'm now a 1-year-old coonhound pup who is fully grown at about 40-50 pounds. I am neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and housetrained. I have a great personality. I'm very sweet, loving and friendly with everyone, including other animals. I'm a big lap dog who loves to snuggle. I love to play with toys and chew on rawhides. I am smart and I walk well on a leash, but I also love to romp and run in the fenced yard. Please give me a home where I'll never be abandoned again! Adoption fee: $75.

Adoption Process:
Complete the application at the link above or send an email to info@pawsforliferescue.org to tell us which pet you're interested in and we'll send you a questionnaire that will help us make the best match for you and your new pet. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. This is a pending period to give your dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
