Starlight or Marty is a sweet, gentle and mellow male 2yr old. He is a mix of some Pit/Pointer/Aussie Shep. He has a wonderful Red/white coat, with gorgeous amber eyes. He weighs a lean 62lbs. He is good with other dogs, and loves people, he even likes cats. He's just this mellow cool dog that loves to snuggle, but will also go and lay down on his own. He's pretty low energy, but will play with his friends. He's a well balanced dog for all he's gone through, as his story is a sad one, hopefully those days are over. He is now living in a temporary foster home before he finds his forever home. If you need more info on Starlight, please contact 310 774 0055
Rescue Group Info...
We are a non profit rescue group. We rescue animals from the shelters before euthanasia. We socialize and rehabilitate our dogs before we find forever loving homes. We make sure that the animals are given the best medical attention prior to adoption. All dogs are spayed/neutered, and have their up to date shots. They are microchipped with ID collars. Why do we do dog rescue, because of the huge need there is for rescuers, dogs and cats are flooding the shelters every day. The euthanasia rate in some shelters is 98%. The public are not educated to know, that a shelter is not a boarding facility for their dog until it finds a home, it is very likely to be destroyed. We try to make a difference as best we can, every one life saved is so worth what we do. We also want to make sure that the dogs we rescue, are never in harms way again.
Chance Foundation is in need of donations at the moment. We have taken on a lot of dogs, without funding, and are experiencing heavy vet bills, and boarding costs. Any small amount would be greatly accepted, receipts will be sent out. You can Pay Pal Dogsonearth@yahoo.com or Chancefoundation@yahoo.com.
We are also looking for volunteers to help with our dogs, so please contact 310 774 0055 or e-mail us at Dogsonearth@yahoo.com
Please pass the word on, that all dogs and cats need to be spayed and neutered.
If you'd like to donate towards us rescuing more shelter dogs off death row, please Pay Pal Dogsonearth@yahoo.com, they accept credits cards as well. You can also send a donation for our vet Malibu Coast Animal Hospital 310 317 4560 under Chance Foundation. Any amount would be gratefully accepted, and a receipt can be sent out to you for your records.
We do adoption events in our local areas. If you see a dog that you like on this site, please call us so that you can meet the dog. We will be happy to bring him/her to meet you, or you can meet them at our adoption events. We are also looking for foster homes. Please contact: Dogsonearth@yahoo.com, 310 774 0055
We ask for an adoption application to be completed prior to adoption. We will interview you and your family, and do a home check, and ask for references. If all goes well, then we will ask you to complete an adoption contract. We also ask for a donation.
We are Chance Foundation an Independent rescue group, serving mostly Southern California. We rescue dogs from the shelters before euthanasia.
I started dog rescue, (even though I've rescued animals my whole life), when I found a litter of puppies in a junk yard. There was one no-one wanted, I took her, and named her Chance. From thereon, I rescued another dog a Staffie named Cosmica, then a lovely Dalmation from West LA named Freedom. I then much to my horror, I saw how many dogs were being euthanized in the shelters, and had to take action. I have to this date, rescued thousand of dogs, which are now living in wonderful homes. Sadly Chance left us this year, I am heartbroken but know that she had a wonderful life and was very much loved. She will always be in my heart and my angel as I continue forth against odds to save as many lives as I can. I pray for a day there will be no kill shelters, and that these innocents will never be abused by owners, and lead happy pain free lives with happiness and love.
