I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and not good with cats.
Hi, I’m Hazelnut, but you can call me Hazel. I am 2 years old and most likely a Vizsla or Wemeriner/Staffordshire Terrier mix. I have a gorgeous coat. I am spayed and up to date on all my shots. I was living a typical home life when my owner fell victim to the housing crisis and I ended up in the Camarillo shelter. Thankfully a rescue volunteer got me out and I am now being fostered on a ranch. I respond quickly to women but after just a few days here have bonded with my foster dad. He is working with me in this new environment and wow, have I learned a lot. The horses, donkey and cattle are curious animals. I am learning to keep an eye out for all of those legs. There are many other dogs here and I get along with all of them, but not the cats. I like to play ball and am not much of a barker, except of course when necessary, like when a stranger comes into the yard. I am housebroken and spend my evenings lounging on the couch with my foster family. If you don’t have a ranch, it’s ok. I can adapt to your home too. I would like another dog friend or two though. My foster family says no hamsters, mice, cats or rats.
Ask for me, I'm Hazel!

Rescue Group Info...
We are a small group of experienced, passionate rescuers who pull animals from Los Angeles shelters who are at high risk of euthanasia. All animals are placed in foster homes and any and all known info about the animals is shared with prospective adopters.
We arrange 1-1 meetings with our adoptive animals.
We require a homecheck and ensure the animal you are adopting is assimilated well into your home environment, including compatibility with your other pets.
