Cooper's Story...
My name is Cooper and everyone says I'm fantastic - except the cat! I'm about a year old and I weigh about 35 pounds. I'm wonderfully trained, attentive, gentle, and sweet. I was adopted by my people who have house trained, leash trained. and obedience trained me. And I love their older dog, Pepper, too. Even though I'm a Border Collie, I'm quieter and much more laid back than is typical of my breed. And I'm smart - I learn quickly and I'm a good running buddy. I sleep through the night without having to be taken out. I love to cuddle, my fur is wonderfully soft, and I'm very good with baths and getting my nails trimmed. All around, I'm a great dog! And very grateful for the love and attention I've received. The problem is that I haven't been able to make friends with Dusty, my family's cat. And Dusty has been with my family a long time, so, sadly, they need to re-home me - even though they love me very much and are heartbroken that I don't get along with Dusty. If you'd like a beautiful, happy, fun dog and you don't have young children or cats - then I'm the dog for you! My adopted family would like you to call them directly - Walter and Linda, at (858) 453-3436. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cooper, a Chula Vista Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Chula Vista, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Chula Vista.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chula Vista already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chula Vista breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chula Vista paves the way for another one to be saved.
