Tux's Story...
If you are interested in viewing or adopting these kitties, please go to www.orphankittenrescue.com/adopt and fill out an application.

Tux is a very affectionate kitty who loves to cuddle and get pets. He can be a little shy and skittish at first but warms up very quickly. Once that happens, he enjoys sleeping in bed with you and receiving some morning scritches. Tux is extremely gentle and will let you pick him up and play around with him with no fuss. His gentle nature would make him good with children, but because he scares a little easily, it may be best for him to be around older children who can respect his shyness.

Tux has started to answer to his own name and will come to bed when called in the evenings. He can be very curious but learns quickly about what the boundaries and rules of the house are. He will also sing you a lovely song while you are getting his food ready because he absolutely loves to eat.

Tux is best friends with Bella. They are very attached to each other and love to play together, clean each other, and cuddle together. Tux also loves to steal Bella’s food. They are an absolutely amazing pair of kitties, and they need to be adopted together.

Tux and Bella would be OK with kids, but better with older children who know how to give them space, as they can scare a little easily. However, they are extremely gentle and never hiss or scratch or show any signs of aggression.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tux, a Vancouver Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
