My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shamrock arrived on Jan. 28th. He is adorable! He arrived at 28 pounds big. He is approx. 5 and 1/2 months old. What a love but he is. He loves to be pet and snuggled. Shamrock is fostered with young children and a dog. He is dog and kid friendly! He seems to be so smart. He slept like a charm his first night with us and even let out a bark to advise that he had to out outside to do his business. You can see additional photos by sending a friend request to Sheryl's Den on Facebook. As we get to know this sweet boy better, we will update this site. UPDATE: Shamrock is a playful boy. He is eager to go, play, and welcome you. He loves to play with toys, and absolutely loves to go outside. He runs around throwing his toys in the air and moving on to the next item. He's very comical! He loves all the the kids he has met which were from ages 2 to 12. He was very eager to meet bigger dogs, as he gave lots of kisses through the fences. When he met the bigger dogs outside he just wants them to play. He barks to go outside or to get your attention. Shamrock also loves his meal times. He is being taught to sit, and give paw. We already have him doing the commands almost perfectly in less then 2 days. He's learning to walk on a leash and master stairs. He's quiet at bedtime and sleeps in his crate all night without a peep. What a wonderful pup who will train easy if you are willing to work with him. Shamrock is excited when he meets people. He is listening to the sit command from a two year old as well as anyone else with a treat. He is crate trained. If in the crate he will alert you if he has to go out. If we are not home, and he is going to have an accident, he has used the newspaper. Great start for a dog here just a few days. UPDATE: Shamrock sure knows to sit and give paw now. He is listening to a hand motion that I use so he stops barking for my attention. He's doing well with his commands. He's just like any other dog/pup loves to chill on the couch with you. His big floppy ears pop up at the sound of playtime. He loves toys and now chases sticks that the kids throw out in the yard. He's still quiet when put him to bed at night. During the day he has the option of sleeping in his kennel or out. He loves to run around the doggie room with his toys. Shamrock will not have an accident where he sleeps but he is still working on house training. UPDATE: Shamrock is doing good on a leash now. He gets better as time goes by. He has also mastered the stairs, going both up and down. UPDATE: Shamrock loves to just lay on my deck and take in the sun. He is just loving it out there on a nice day. He is adorable! UPDATE: shamrock has found a place on my couch that he loves. He is still active and playful, but does settle down. He knows hand commands as well as verbal to sit, give paw and stop barking. He is a cool little guy. UPDATE: Shamrock is a happy boy. He loves to bounce around. He enjoys following our two year old around the house. He just wants to play when he meets other dogs. He needs a little training but he will emerge into a great dog because he loves you and wants your attention. He loves to relax on the couch if you do not mind. If you are interested in adopting, please complete and submit an application.

This animal is currently fostered in a private home. Our rescue is 100% foster home based. We do not have a shelter or kennel. They are cared for by a loving family until adopted. Each pup has had their first vet exam, a shot, and de-worming, etc We make sure they have no fleas prior to going into our foster homes. They are fostered out of the shelter at least two weeks or more prior to adopting to monitor health. We take their care seriously!

Please note that the adoption appointments will be scheduled for the morning of Feb 11th. After your application is approved, we will contact you and arrange for you to meet on that date. Once adopted, feel free to change the dog's name. You do not have to keep the name listed in this post.
