Mr. Whiskers is an AMAZING cat!! He was found last winter living in a barn. He needed some vet care to get over pnemonia, and we found out that he had once been hit by a tractor and left for dead. He managed to live through all that and still has a shining personality. The first day Mr. Whiskers lived in a home, he managed to find a soft pillow on the couch and somehow look as if he was used to living the life of 'luxury'. We think he is @ 4 years old. He gets along great with other cats, is healthy now and needs to be adopted by someone who will give him the love and care he deserves as well as a permanent home. Call Paula B. at 498-4232 if you are interested in giving Mr. Whiskers a home. Cat Rescue, Inc., brings other available cats and kittens to Greenbriar Petsmart on Saturdays from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. You may also visit the adoption centers at Petsmart's . Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mr. Whiskers, a Chesapeake Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chesapeake, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chesapeake.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chesapeake already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chesapeake breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chesapeake paves the way for another one to be saved.
