Rosebud's Story...
If you are interested in viewing or adopting this kitty, please go to www.orphankittenrescue.com/adopt and fill out an application.

Meet Rosebud, a beguiling, multi-coloured, silky-furred little cat who spent the first four months of her life living outside with her mother and two siblings. She has decided that she enjoys humans and would like to meet you!

Likes: A fingerful of plain yoghurt, chewing heavy cardboard, stop-action wrestling and then napping with my cat, looking out the window, being combed, lying on the corner of the bed.

Dislikes: Being shut out of a bedroom at night, not being played with, people who don’t share their tuna, mistaking the sound of a bag of dried fruit for the treat bag

Attributes: Patient with humans, fascinated by watching running water even if it runs down her head when she leans into the faucet, puzzled but not frightened when her foster human dances

Talents: Chirping and giving meaningful looks that result in a human putting food in her dish or, even better, playing by pulling her favourite ribbon around while she chases it. She also enjoys "the blender," which involves lying on her side and having her stomach massaged.

On a Friday night can be found...hoping that you will get down on the floor and play with her.

Something that few people know about Rosebud: She sometimes goes under a folded-up quilt on those rare occasions when she wants to be alone. When she first did this for about six minutes, no one could find her and panic ensued...but then all was well.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rosebud, a Vancouver Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
