My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Elliot is in a 3 month training program called Paws in Prison. When he gets out, he will be very smart and well mannered. A perfect little guy. He will be available around the end of June. Feel free to contact me for details.

We learned about Elliot the Tuesday before Christmas. He was lying in a cold shelter for a week scared and in intense pain from being hit by a car. As soon as the email about him came out, his foster mom began making plans to get him out of the shelter and into a vet hospital for much needed medical care. He went through surgery to close up the large gashes around his back and head. Elliot stayed in the hospital for 3 weeks with a loving vet to nurse him back to health. The hospital had to shave him to perform surgery, but his hair will grow back and is already growing in. When he got to his foster home, he still had a 3” open wound that needed to heal up. You can see this in the last picture below. >P>Fast forward to today! Elliot’s wound is now the size of a dime and getting smaller every day. It is as though it is shrinking while I am watching him. Thanks to a miracle natural salve product given to me by a holistic healer friend, Elliot has healed up at an amazing speed. He is 100% healed up on the inside and just a wonderful little dog. His accident did not cause any permanent damage to his body. He may have a tiny scar on his back which will be covered up by fur when it all grows back. His hair is steadily growing and he looks better every day.

His favorite pastime is to play ball. Elliot takes his ball playing very seriously. He is never more than a foot away from his favorite ball at any time and he is a great little fetch player! He knows quite a few tricks, such as shake, twirl, and roll over. Elliot knows basic commands and displays good manners. He is very patient in waiting for his meals. He has the cutest signal when he wants something such as if he is hungry or wants to go outside. Elliot will very gently tap on the door to alert us that he wants to go outside. Another cute thing he does is rub his eyes while wriggling about and making a cooing sound. I caught this on video below.

Elliot loves to cuddle in my lap while I am watching tv. He is a short hair JRT but has soft fur. I love to pet him and he enjoys the attention as well. Elliot is a very special little guy. If I didn’t already have 2 JRTs of my own, he would already be home.

He is house trained, crate trained, and one of the best little dogs you will ever meet.

Send me an email for more information. I could talk for hours about how great Elliot is. p_arlan@yahoo.com.

Elliot will need a secure fence. Adoption fee is $200. An application and home visit are required. Transportation can be arranged.
