Sparkles's Story...
Who is brighter and prettier than a thousand diamonds? It's me, Sparkles. I am an utterly adorable youngster who came to FOHA from a rural shelter in Virginia. I am cute, confident, and completely lovable. I don't seem to be afraid of anything and will purr the minute you pick me up or look my way. I just arrived at my new FOHA foster home on Sunday, January 29th. I'm busy exploring and getting to know everyone in my foster home, so I'll have time to tell you more about me soon.

If you're interested in meeting me, email my volunteer friends at FOHA about me and come visit me in my foster home! To obtain additional information about me or any of the FOHA cats for adoption, contact FOHA at 703-385-0224 or adopt-a-cat@foha.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sparkles, a Aldie Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
