March 2008 NICE DOG!!! If unable to adopt - Can you foster Jewels???? ~ Jewels is a 2 1/2 year old American Foxhound spayed female looking for her forever home. One that'll give her lots of love, attention along with playtime! She certainly likes her toys! Medium size at 53 lbs. with short, soft, tricolor coat. Spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped! This sensitive, pretty girl has formal obedience training, house broke, bonds easily and returns affection. Doesn't need to be crated - has not destroyed anything when left alone. Probably best in home with an easy going laid back dog or can be the only dog. Has been OK with cat in previous home. Ideal for moderately active couple or family with older children. As with most hounds, needs secure fenced in yard. The taller the fence the better - likes to chase and bark at squirrels, as most hounds do. Foxhounds make great family pets -- very sensitive & generally gentle dogs. Fun, happy, loving personalities. Jewels has a great disposition!
