My Story

China is a short, squat, tailwaggingly-friendly, 5-year-old, 55-pound, female, American Staffordshire Terrier-mix looking for a loving guardian. China is all white with adorable brown cow spots on her muscular body. She absolutely adores people, but can be selective about her animal friends and would need a home that doesn't have any small animals. She walks around happily, smiling, and when excited she starts snorting like a pig. She loves to play ball and is extremely agile and gentle. She loves to play with her toy, so you just need to pull out a ball or rope toy to play with her and she is your best friend for life. She tires out after a bit of play and is all snuggles, kisses and cuddles. China walks nicely on leash and rides well in the car.

She is housebroken and is crate-trained. She is extremely healthy, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on monthly heartworm preventative. Her adoption donation of $200 benefits the rescued dogs of Lucky Dog Rescue. China is currently located near Chicago, IL and would love to find a loving forever family to call her own! For more information on China or to meet and possibly temporarily foster, or permanently adopt her, contact Melia at melia88@comcast.net.

Adoption Process

The adoption fee for each of the dogs is $200.00. That is to cover the cost of getting the animal spayed/neutered, HW tested and completely UTD on vaccinations. An adoption application can be obtained by contacting us by email at melia88@comcast.net. Once the application has been received and reviewed, a meet and greet will be arranged with your family and the dog you are interested in. A home visit will also be done prior to any adoption being completed.

About the Rescue GroupLearn More

We are a very small group of independent dog rescuers. All of the dogs that are available for adoption were saved from needlessly being euthanized in high kill shelters. Once a dog is brought into our care, it receives all of the vetting that is necessary including a spay/neuter surgery, HW test, and vaccinations. A foster home is then provided for the dog until a forever adoptive home can be found. When a foster home is not available, the dogs will be placed in paid boarding until they are adopted.

All of these dogs are currently located in foster homes or paid boarding either in Chicago, IL or surrounding areas. An appointment can be made to view any of the animals at the convenience of the potential adopter and the foster.
