My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Breed: Purebred Chinchilla Size: Guessing will end up between 5 and 6 pounds, currently he is 5 pounds at 6 months Color: Silver agouti Approximate DOB:6/11/2011 Reason in rescue:These boys were given over to our rescue because their breeder could not sell them. We are very happy to have them here where we can get them neutered and socialized and find them a great new indoor home! Personality: All three of these boys, Grayson, Sterling and Smokey are very sweet. They are initially skittish as they haven't been handled too much but are learning very quickly that they like being petted and cuddled and have started to all crowd at the door of the pen when a human comes around! We think their initial jumpiness around people will be eliminated very quickly once they get consistent good attention! They do not mind being held and they all love face and ear rubs! Ideal Home: Any home would be good for these boys!. Friends: Sterling is currently living by himself, but he is a good candidate to be bonded to a spayed female, once he is neutered; or he can be adopted out as a single bunny. Requirements: Must be adopted as an indoor animal, with an as large as possible plastic bottomed cage or puppy pen. Adoption process: An adoption application must be filled out (email for the application), and approved by us. Then we will arrange a meeting time to see the animal of interest. A home visit is required prior to adoption. Suggested adoption donation is $60 which will include his neuter and first vet visit **Please email if you are interested in adoption. We respond to all emails within 24 hours** Recommended Food: These boys are currently eating a mix of Oxbow timothy and alfalfa pellets until they get older, unlimited timothy hay, and a slow introduction of 2-3 servings of veggies a day, especially fresh greens like romaine, green leaf, dandelion, spring or baby mixes, etc. Bedding: Newspaper, Yesterday's News, Cellsorb, or Carefresh
