Chy's Story...
There is so much to love about me.  Where should I begin?  I am obedient, loving, housebroken, and playful.  I like car rides and playing fetch.  I like being with kids and love to get loved.  I have learned to do ok with other dogs but I don't really trust myself completely around cats. I am a fabulous, manageable size. My name is Chy (pronounced shy, which is odd cuz I am a super social gal). I am a sweet little gal who steals the heart of everyone I meet and now I am out to steal yours. 5-6 years old-50lbs. My adoption fee is $100 and includes; current shots, microchip, spay rebate, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam (SE Portland/Milwaukie area) , 5 week training class, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chy, a Portland Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
