At three and a half years old Oakley is in the prime of his life and this strong, powerful and sporty shepherd-mix is looking for an owner to match. Oakley knows many obedience commands and is willing to listen to the person who earns his respect. He also makes good eye-contact which is a benefit in training and creating a bond but Oakley does need to work on the heel command as he is too strong to be allowed to pull and lunge during walks. For all the military bearing and strength Oakley displays he is surprisingly playful and affectionate, loving to toss rope toys and leaning in heavily for pets. He needs a home that offers leadership and respect but can also be young-at-heart and be playful and affectionate when appropriate.
