My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looking for an all round sweet, agreeable, well-adjusted little lass? Meet Bitsi! And is she ever! At just 13 pounds and ~5 mths old in mid February, this BC mix pup is just pint sized – but not a bit small in personality! Bitsi melts the hearts of all she meets, and is going to make some lucky family a wonderful canine companion.

Rescued from an Idaho shelter with her brother Bodi, Bitsi is a sensitive girl who is quick to warm up to new people & places, and then it’s time for her to show you her world-class cuddlebug skills!! This girl loves to snuggle with her human friends and is the perfect size for it…she also loves to be anywhere near her people, be it sleeping on the bed or by your side on the couch. She is currently living in a foster home with small children and does very well with them, and would make a great choice for a family with kids. Bitsi gets along well with other dogs as well – she is social and happy in canine company – and she really enjoys tumbling around with her brother. Cats are an unknown at this point. Although she’s not showing much herding instinct, Bitsi is turning on to toys and fetching. Unlike many young sheepdogs, Bitsi is no high-energy puppy – she’s just a moderate energy girl, who will need a reasonable dose of exercise daily to be happiest and at her best.

Bitsi is still just a puppy and will need everything a puppy needs: continued socialization, lots and lots of training, and adopters who have the time and energy to raise a young one right! She is cratetrained and nearly house-trained, and has started learning the basics in her foster home. Given her people-focused nature, Bitsi should be a wonderful student! She will need adopters who will not only continue with her education, but who will help her gain more experience in the world so she can develop into the confident young lady we know she can be!

All in all, if you are looking for a little lass with a lovely nature who also gets an A in the cuteness department, Bitsi could fit your bill! Bitsi is sure to be a most delightful canine companion and, given her agreeable nature, is suitable to a wide variety of homes. If you have the time to devote to raising a youngster, and love the thought of a good pup who loves to cuddle – Bitsi may be the one for you!

Bitsi is current on vaccinations and deworming, and her adoption will include a $100 spay deposit in addition to the adoption fee; that deposit will be cheerfully refunded to her adopter(s) when proof of spay is provided (when he’s ~6 mths old). Bitsi is fostered in a loving home near Salt Lake City, UT.
