Mama Mia's Story...
Mama Mia!

Mama Mia is a sweet Rat Terrier/Chi mix that was saved from the shelter when she was close to giving birth. Shortly after we got her into a foster home, she gave birth to 5 tiny pups! Most of her puppies have found homes, and now Mia would like to find hers.

Mia is a very sweet girl, yet very shy in nature. We think someone wasn't very nice to her before she found us:( She needs a family that will give her time to warm up and come out of that little shell. Mia is excellent with young children as well as other pets.

If you would like to meet this lovely young lady, please email adopt@thearkanimalrescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mama Mia, a Mission Viejo Rat Terrier/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in Mission Viejo, or seeking a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Mission Viejo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mission Viejo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mission Viejo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Rat Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mission Viejo paves the way for another one to be saved.
