Anybody still looking for Prince Charming? Well here he is. 3 yr old, neutered Chihuahua about 7 lb. Charming has not had an easy life. Somewhere along the line of many homes he has gotten scared and bitten humans. No sudden moves, at least at first. He, like every other chi on the planet takes time to understand their surroundings and thus time to warm up. Up to date on shots, crate trained, very loyal to his chosen person. He loves to go for a quite ride in the car, just sitting on your lap with his nose out the window. I took him to a friend’s house the other day and he did wonderfully with the people (strangers to him), although he did keep his distance. But no special fuss was made and he did quite well. We have introduced him to other dogs and he is careful, assesses the situation and then wants to play. With big dogs he makes a lot of noise and then calms down if the other dog is calm as well. Just takes a bit of time to befriend. I think he is a chi-weenie. He just needs an understanding home with less activity. He has moved a dozen times in his short life. He is not aggressive. If left alone, he does well. Prince loves to play what I refer to as tag. He’ll run away then stop and wait for you to catch up and then do it again. Once he understands you are not going to hurt him and are serious he rolls over on his back and waits for you to pick him up. He does and will chase cats if you tell him to stop in a firm voice he does. If you think you could provide a forever home for this special guy. We are a group of volunteers that take in unwanted, abandoned or homeless Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes. We take care of any Vet needs they may have and evaluate them as to temperament and likes and dislikes. We then match people to dogs and after completing our adoption process we send the dogs to their Forever Homes where they will be loved and valued as a family member.
We operate on donations and always have a need for things like leashes, harnesses, dishes, high quality dog food, beds, blankets and most importantly FOSTER HOMES!

We organized in 2005 and CR&R is registered as a non-profit charitable organization in Washington State & has Federal 501(c)(3) STATUS. We have successfully re-homed over 250 dogs!

Please contact each foster home where a dog lives that you are interested in to make an appointment to meet them. We participate in various events throughout the year where we show off our adoptable dogs.
Our adoption fees vary depending on the age and health of the dogs. We require that an adoption application be completed with at least two personal references and one Vet reference. We also do home checks to be sure the dog will go to a safe environment. Our Adoption Contract assures that the dogs will be cared for and if they cannot remain with the new family they MUST be returned to us.
