Papi #131 (PRONOUNCED POPPY)'s Story...
Papi was named after the leading man in Beverly Hills Chihuahua. He was rescued from a high kill shelter in Livingston, CA. He is scared and timid at first, but quickly warms up to people. Once he is comfortable with you, he loves to be held and will flop on his back for a chest rub. He has either lost a lot of weight recently or he is mixed with a Sharpei! When he sits, he has lots of loose skin on his back, hips, and under his chin. Papi will be neutered and up to date on shots before adoption. He is 4 yrs. old and weighs about 6 lb. His fur is short and rough-textured. Papi's adoption fee is $200. Contact foster mom Marlene at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Papi #131 (PRONOUNCED POPPY), a Seattle Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Seattle, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Seattle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Seattle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Seattle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Seattle paves the way for another one to be saved.
