I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Hooper is a 1 ½ yr old male Chihuahua mix; about 8 lbs. Hooper was aggressive when his terminally ill owner released him to us and did let us know that he has not been socialized at all. It has taken a few months for him to fit into his own skin and wow what a great dog! Hooper is a great loving dog that enjoys to be cuddled and sleeps with his human every night under the covers. He makes a few rounds through the night to check the house and then back to bed with his human. Hooper gets along well with other dogs and cats, and does bark are strangers while he is backing up (has a fear of humans I think) until he gets to know them. Then, he is very caring and loves to cuddle on your chest. Hooper loves playing with his toys and just learning new things. I have been working on a few basic commands stay, sit pretty and come. Hooper is house broken; crate trained and does well on a leash. Hooper has been neutered and is current on all his shots. Adoption fee is $150. Rescue Group Info...
We are a group of volunteers that take in unwanted, abandoned or homeless Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes. We take care of any Vet needs they may have and evaluate them as to temperament and likes and dislikes. We then match people to dogs and after completing our adoption process we send the dogs to their Forever Homes where they will be loved and valued as a family member.
We operate on donations and always have a need for things like leashes, harnesses, dishes, high quality dog food, beds, blankets and most importantly FOSTER HOMES!
***ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE***
We organized in 2005 and CR&R is registered as a non-profit charitable organization in Washington State & has Federal 501(c)(3) STATUS. We have successfully re-homed over 600 dogs!
"In every tiny body there is a mighty soul worth saving"
Please contact each foster home where a dog lives that you are interested in to make an appointment to meet them. We participate in various events throughout the year where we show off our adoptable dogs.
Our adoption fees vary depending on the age and health of the dogs. We require that an adoption application be completed with at least two personal references and one Vet reference. We also do home checks to be sure the dog will go to a safe environment. Our Adoption Contract assures that the dogs will be cared for and if they cannot remain with the new family they MUST be returned to us.
