Ruff Ruff! My name is Shorty
|Breed:||Chihuahua||Color:||White - With Tan, Yellow Or Fawn||Age:||Young|
|Size:||Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less||Sex:||Male||ID#:||188|
I am already neutered, purebred, a special needs pet, and up to date with shots.
Shorty is an adorable little man; he is just 4 lb., about 4 years old. He is neutered and has had a dental. His previous owner did not take good care of his teeth and he had to have most of them pulled. Shorty is a quiet fellow, likes to lay in the sun and snooze. Or to be held in somebody’s arms! He does play with the other dogs sometimes, but gets jealous if they get too close while he is getting attention.
He has a liver shunt, which means he will need to be on special medications for the rest of his life. At the moment, he is on a low protein diet, and needs 3 meals per day, and meds 3 times per day. The meds are inexpensive. But if he gets sick, it can be an expensive vet bill. He may require overnight care for 1 or more days.
Rescue Group Info...
We are a group of volunteers that take in unwanted, abandoned or homeless Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes. We take care of any Vet needs they may have and evaluate them as to temperament and likes and dislikes. We then match people to dogs and after completing our adoption process we send the dogs to their Forever Homes where they will be loved and valued as a family member.
We operate on donations and always have a need for things like leashes, harnesses, dishes, high quality dog food, beds, blankets and most importantly FOSTER HOMES!
***ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE***
We organized in 2005 and CR&R is registered as a non-profit charitable organization in Washington State & has Federal 501(c)(3) STATUS. We have successfully re-homed over 250 dogs!
"In every tiny body there is a mighty soul worth saving"
Please contact each foster home where a dog lives that you are interested in to make an appointment to meet them. We participate in various events throughout the year where we show off our adoptable dogs.
Our adoption fees vary depending on the age and health of the dogs. We require that an adoption application be completed with at least two personal references and one Vet reference. We also do home checks to be sure the dog will go to a safe environment. Our Adoption Contract assures that the dogs will be cared for and if they cannot remain with the new family they MUST be returned to us.
