Come Meet Our Pets...
We do not have a facility that is open to the public at this time but we are available to arrange private meetings on occasion. We try to do weekly adoption events so please check our site at laar.org and look at "upcoming events" to see where we will be next.
Our Adoption Process...
We do not "sell" animals. We re-home animals and we ask for a donation to be made to our organization to help cover some of the costs we incur when we take on an animal. Quite often the animals are not in the best of health so they are immediately taken to the vet and given whatever medical attention is necessary. *We are currently asking for a minimum of $300 for dogs/puppies and $150 for cats/kittens.

We do home-checks and research potential adopter's references when necessary.

We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
Primarily Los Angeles and it's surrounding areas. We do make exceptions. Contact us for more details.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chappy, a Chatsworth Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chatsworth, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Chatsworth.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chatsworth already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chatsworth breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chatsworth paves the way for another one to be saved.
