Ryder's Story...
Hello - My name is Ryder and I am a 10 month old, busy, smart, affectionate and wonderful puppy. I am house trained, I love my crate and have a great start on leash training. I love to learn and am so quick to pick up new skills. I know - SIT, DOWN, WAIT, STAY, WATCH ME, TOUCH, DROP IT, LEAVE IT, 3 SEPARATE RECALLS (whistle, name and Emergency Recall) AND I LOVE TO FETCH. I'D SAY THAT FETCH IS MY ALL TIME FAVOURITE AND I'M VERY, VERY GOOD AT IT. I love, love, love to cuddle. I travel very well in the car and have never destroyed anything. My adoption includes lifetime training/support from my foster mommy who is a certified trainer and still loves me very much. I would be a great companion for somewho loves to hike and spend time in the great outdoors with a devoted, loving companion. If you would like to take Ryder home, please visit http://www.poundrescue.com/adoptions/adoption-process to learn about the adoption process & fees, or to fill out an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ryder, a Okotoks German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Okotoks, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Okotoks.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Okotoks already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Okotoks breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Okotoks paves the way for another one to be saved.
