Heart is a 5 yr old beagle mix gal - red and white w/ red ticking - just 25#! She is mostly red on top with white chest and belly and is a special gal who was not socialized as a pup; she's come a long ways with us, but is still quite fearful. It will take someone special to give her what she needs....time, patience, another dog..... She has made canine friends; sleeps on my bed but doesn't allow me to pet her. She'll eat food from your hand and is excellent at catching a tossed treat....all experienced beagles are!
If you have experience and success with this sort of dog, we'd love to meet you. A few years ago we had a similar young female - her new mom sent us photos of Susie sitting on the sofa that night - miraculous! She made a liar out of me - hope it happens again~~
