Thunder's Story...
Our good boy Thunder first lost his home and backyard to hard times, and then his beloved owner suddenly died and he was grieving hard. He is recovering his love of life, but wants to have a family to call his own again. He lived with older small dogs as a puppy, but would be best as the only dog now. Thunder recently lived with several cats. He is friendly toward people of all ages, and loves if they will throw the ball for him. He dreams of a fenced yard to run in and people who will include him in activities. Thunder will be neutered before adoption.

It is our policy not to place our dogs into homes with young children since we don't have foster homes with young children to evaluate the dogs. The adoption begins with the adoption application: we do not have the manpower to respond to detailed inquiries before we receive the application. Our adoption procedures are described on the home page, please read them carefully. A donation of $275 is required at the time of adoption. If you can offer our good boy Thunder a loving forever home, please submit an on-line application by

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Thunder, a Baltimore German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Baltimore, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Baltimore.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baltimore already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baltimore breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baltimore paves the way for another one to be saved.
