Abbie's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and good with dogs.

Abbie's Story...
"Who is so very special and so very lovable...it's me, Abbie. I'm a very precious and cute Australian Shepherd-mix lady, who would absolutely love to have a loving and forever home with you. I'm not too large, so you know that I would not take up too much room in the house. My hair is on the short side, so I too am one of those easy-care ladies. In my new forever home, I'd love to have a yard where I could enjoy myself, and then at night, have a cuddly and soft dog bed in the house, where I could curl up and be close to my person or my people. Come and hug me and hold me close to your heart, and we just might discover that we are meant to be together "fur"ever. I enjoy going for walks too and have a really great personality, and a great smile too. I would do best in a home without kids, but would like to maybe have a dog buddy to keep me company. Come on over to our shelter and ask our great shelter staff to introduce us. It's almost Valentine's Day and I think I already love you, and you just might discover that you love me too. I'll be watching for you and listening for your footsteps by my kennel gate. Let's get acquainted. See you soon. Love, Abbie" Kennel #25

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abbie, a El Cajon Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
