Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jasper is one of those fuzzy-faced dogs who look like they should be in a Disney movie. He may be part Schnauzer but whatever his genes, he is a handsome dog. He and a look-alike pregnant female were abandoned together and placed in a shelter . After the other dog delivered her puppys, she was taken into another foster home. Losing his home and then his best friend was pretty traumatic for Jasper so initially he was very shy but this lasted about a day and he then warmed up. He still needs a little time to regain some confidence and trust of people. He has made great strides in a very short time and is a happy active dog. He gets along well with other dogs. His foster mom is working on crate training and Jasper appears to be somewhat house trained. In addition his coat seems not to shed which may help in the case of an allergy situation. Jasper is fully grown, 15 pounds, up to date on shots, neutered and will be microchipped before adoption. We are working on some basic obedience training since he has a tendency to jump on people for attention but that may be his response to having been abandoned. It may be best that his new home not have very young children because of the jumping. With a little patience and attention he will make a great family dog.
