Mr. Otis's Story...
Mr. Otis, along with his siblings Bea & Opie, is a handsome 6 month old Beagle mix, but he also appears to be a Spitz mix. He'll be a medium size, right now he is just 28 lbs., a bit larger than his sister. He's neutered and current on vaccinations and has a great, endearing personality. Mr. Ptis gets along well with everyone he meets and is working on learning basic skills and walking on a leash. With consistent training he will be a wonderful family companion. Otis is currently in TN awaiting his forever family. His adoption fee of $450 includes transport to PA and points north. For an application, please contact lorainecm@comcast.net

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mr. Otis, a Portland Spitz (Unknown Type, Medium)/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Spitz (Unknown Type, Medium)/Beagle for sale in Portland, or seeking a Spitz (Unknown Type, Medium)/Beagle dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Spitz (Unknown Type, Medium)/Beagle breeders who help with Spitz (Unknown Type, Medium)/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
