Jackie's Story...
Hi, my name is Jackie. I'm a 3-4-year old brown tabby. I'm super friendly and outgoing. I like to explore my surroundings and interact with people. I also LOVE catnip, being silly, and drinking from the faucet. I get along with other cats just fine, too.

I am spayed, microchipped, and current on my vaccinations. I also tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia.

You can visit me at Petsmart on Golf Rd and Meacham Rd in Schaumburg, IL. Our adoption hours are on Wednesdays and Fridays from 6pm to 8pm, on Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm to 4pm, or by appointment.

If you have any questions about me or the adoption process, or would like to make an appointment to meet me, please email adopt1181@felinescanines.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jackie, a Schaumburg Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Schaumburg, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Schaumburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Schaumburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Schaumburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Schaumburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
