My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Valentino was obviously someone's cat at one time. His owners may have moved and left him behind. He had long hair, before we had to have him shaved. Cats with long fur do not do well outside and frequently matte quite badly. That was the case with him. He was a mess! Due to the mattes he was limping badly, he wasn't neutered and he had a very bad abccess. He was brought to the vets and was tested, neutered, shaved, got his distemper and rabies shots and the abcess was treated. Whew! A lot had to be done. His fur will grow back and it will be a long haired boy once again. He is now in great health, thanks to our TLC, and willingness to spend the money to make this poor boy whole again and relieve his pain.
He is a good boy but after all that he's been though he's still a little nervous. But he shows signs of getting used to being and inside at again and it is showing in his demeanor. He will make a great cat for someone he just needs a little more time and loving. All animals respond to a kind word and and a gentle touch. It's so sad what was done to him!
Cats with long fur do very poorly outside and if they do go outside, they need to be groomed. His owners must have moved and left him behind for quite awhile because he was such a huge mess! Poor darling! He's such a sweet boy too. He gets along with everyone! Once his fur grows back he will be stunning! A beautiful long haired Tuxedo! Now he needs a good home, one where he will be loved and cherished and not dumped like yesterday's trash!!
You may obtain an online application by logging on to www.catadoptionri.org or by emailing catadoptionteam@aol.com or Rfalaguerr@aol.com. All of the cats and kittens are adopted out with Rhode Island State mandated proof of spay or neuter. In order to take your new cat or kitten home with you, there must be an approved application prior to adoption day. Application approval is usually within 24-48 hours.
We, at CATS, are very proud of all of the cats and kittens that we help facilitate finding new forever homes, and work very hard to make sure they are happy, healthy and well socialized. All of the cats and kittens are fed only Royal Canin cat food.
We are at the Providence Petco, located at 585 N. Main Street, Providence, RI every Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm and you are welcome to come by and see all the cats and kittens that are looking for new 'Forever Homes'. Hard copy medical records accompany each cat and kitten on adoption day as each cat or kitten is completely vetted prior to their adoption.
The adoption donation is $150.00 each after an approved application. This is not a sale, but an adoption donation. The policy is that all of our cats and kittens will be adopted out spayed or neutered, tested for feline aids/leukemia, and have all age appropriate shots. There will not be any adoption of any cat or kitten that has not been spayed or neutered first. There will be no exceptions. This means that there is less out of pocket costs for people who adopt a cat or kitten from us and you will be in 100% COMPLIANCE WITH THE SPAY/NEUTER LAW TOO!
