BATMAN's Story...
A rescue friend named Robin went to "bat' for a cute little Westie mix
whose "time was up" and whose sad photo she saw on the Harris County
Animal Shelter website. That's how "Batman," got his name, with the
only similarity to the fictional character being his cute little bat
ears, one stands up, and one flops down. Unfortunately, "Batman" had
no super powers to get him off "death row," only the kindness of one
person, Robin, who brought him to True Blue Friends, our no kill
shelter, where he enjoys being the center of attention. "Batman" is
so quick, running to the door before you get there and out, as well,
but he is really good about staying in the front yard and not
wandering the neighborhood. We think he learned his lesson from his
days as a stray. "Batman" is very independent and smart and knows
right from wrong. When he does something mischievous and is scolded,
you know 'Batman" alias "Catman' knows better than to chase the cats
or eat their food or sniff around the litter box...oh, but it is so
tempting!!! Yet, at night, "Batman' will be piled on a heap of fleecy
blankets on the couch, surrounded by pockets of cats and his two best
friends, the twins, "Mili" and "Milo." They say, Westies are highly
social and are the most friendly and jolly of all the Scottish breeds
of terrier. If you are looking for a small dog with lots of
personality, someone to warm your heart and make every day, full of
joy and surprises come and meet "Batman" in his wispy, white wire-y
fur coat and little tan bat ears at Tuesday's Rice U Farmer's Market. To arrange a meeting, contact Janice at 713.592.2299 or TrueBlueRescue@gmail.com
