Teddy and Teri are an awesome bonded pair who were turned over to rescue due to their owners divorced. The house needed to be sold and neither owner was able to take them to their new homes. They must be adopted together.
Teddy is a little longer and leaner then his partner Teri. They are both approximately the same age and have been together all of their lives. They are both super mellow and very loving.
They would be a great pair in any home. They are playful to a point, but are more mellow and loving than anything.
They are both housebroken, spayed and neutered and up to date on all of their vaccines.
Most dogs especially older ones are housetrained, like these little guys are, they can use a doggy door. However, it should be reminded that there will be few accidents in the beginning as all of the dogs are nervous and uncomfortable in new surroundings, until they get accustom to their new home. With proper discipline from the beginning, and corrective techniques, this behavior should stop within a few weeks.
Any dachshunds that have longhaired or wirehaired coats will need to be groomed on a regular basis, otherwise things can get caught in their coat and lack of grooming can cause hair matting, which can be painful for the dogs if not properly taken care of. Many local groom shops should have knowledge on how to properly groom your longhaired or wirehaired dachshunds.
Tax deductible adoption fees for Teddy and Teri are to be announced.
