Everyone loves my jowls! Hi Im "Champ" and Im a hunky monkey and I need a foster or forever home!
Im a happy-go-lucky 5 year old boy, and Im smart too.... I know sit, shake and down! I also try to wait to get out of my kennel to go potty. I dont get out much tho, since Im not up front with the adoptable dogs due to my size and having people handle me. I am kind of a big boy ~ about 101 lbs, but Im gentle and a good boy! Watch my video and youll see how fabulous I am!
Im currently in the back of the shelter and the nice folks there have reached out to Lady's Hope Dog Rescue for help getting me into a temporary foster or forever home. My owner traveled a lot, and for long periods of time, so he gave me up because he didnt have time for me. It makes me sad that he did that, but, I dont hold a grudge, and Im ready to romp and cuddle with my new forever family!
Im a calm and mellow lad, and like to snuggle, and I passed my temperament test just fine! True to my breed, I do have some barrier guarding tendencies, but I just let folks know Im there. I can be dominant with dogs, but Im not dog aggressive, and when I met kitties, I redirected easily. Because of my size, Id do best in a home with older children ~ youd be surprised what I can knock over if I simply turn my head fast, and I wouldnt want it to be your child!
Im just a carefree kind of guy. I like to play with the ball, and I will even give it to you when you ask for it! Tho, I dont need a lot of exercise, Ill chase the ball, then hang out. Dont forget to watch my video and youll see I can even hold TWO tennis balls in my mouth at one time!
My options are kinda limited ~ since Im not up front with the adoptable dogs ~ people arent seeing me, so I really need help getting out of here. Im such a handsome and sweet boy, will you open your home to foster or adopt me?
Meanwhile, Ill keep smiling with my fabulous jowls, and... Ill keep waiting and dreaming of leaving these small kennel walls behind for a loving foster or forever home.
