Tex Ritter's Story...
Meet Tex Ritter! This handsome hound mix has found his way to ARF and is looking for a forever home. He arrived at the shelter as a stray so we do not know much about his history. However, we already can see that Tex is spirited and friendly to everyone he meets – that includes all people and most dogs too! He seems well adjusted and cared for, so we know he will make a great family pet. This boy is a true joy of a dog - energetic, funny, and spunky. He is busy learning proper leash manners and will be a pro in no time! Tex is very attentive and watchful but he still loves to curl up after a hard day of performing all of his hound duties...ball chasing, investigating, and keeping squirrels out of your yard. He dreams of finding a home where he can feel safe, secure and, most of all, loved. Could that be your home?

If you would like to give Tex his forever home, contact his adoption consultant, 440-554-3828 or for more information. He is hanging out ina foster home, so Lee will set up a visit. Tex can’t wait to meet you!

** The adoption fee helps to cover the general veterinarian check-up, heartworm test, spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, rabies vaccination, worming, flea preventative, and microchip that all dogs adopted through Berea ARF receive prior to going into their new home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tex Ritter, a Berea Hound (Unknown Type)/Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Pointer for sale in Berea, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Pointer dog from a breeder in Berea.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berea already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berea breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Pointer breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berea paves the way for another one to be saved.
