Sierra's Story...
Rescued from an imminent coyote attack in the foothills of
Altadena, this handsome two-year-old brown tabby is everything
you could ask for in a feline companion. Sierra loves to switch
modes from lap-loving (with the requisite purring, milk treading,
rubbing and flopping) to playful (running, climbing cat trees,
chasing down balls and hopping in boxes) on a regular basis.
Intelligent and communicative, he's outgoing enough to greet
guests at the door but is also content with staking out a spot
of sunshine independent of company. Amazingly personable (and
disease-free) after an unknown amount of time out-of-doors, Sierra
is patient enough to let you pick him up or even cut his claws with
(almost) nary a complaint. He's also a good eater, not picky or
stomach-sensitive, and can mow through a quarter-can of wet food
in less than a minute! All in all he's a great cat, and will make
a wonderful addition to someone's family. If you are interested in adopting from Cat Posse, please visit our website, and fill out the application on the cats page. You can also contact Sharon at to have an application either e-mailed or faxed to you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sierra, a Pasadena Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Pasadena, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Pasadena.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pasadena already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pasadena breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pasadena paves the way for another one to be saved.
