Declan's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Declan's Story...
Declan came from a high kill shelter, he was picked up as a stray and taken to the shelter and was put in a run with large dogs, he was attacked by one of the dogs and had multiple bite wounds and was in great pain. he was then placed in the medical room till his stray hold was up, he was terrified so was not easy for the staff to treat medically. his family never came for him so he was put on the euthanasia list.. One of the volunteers saw him, took pictures and posted him on Facebook, this is where we saw him and made a call to save him. We got him to us, took him to the vet as his wounds were badly infected, got him flushed and cleaned and put on antibiotics. We then put him in a foster home with a wonderful foster mom who has helped Declan trust and adjust to living in a home. He is 100 % housetrained, knows some commands, likes cats and other small dogs. Would be ok with teens but probably not a good dog for small children as he is still working on his socialization skills.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Declan, a Everett Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in Everett, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Everett.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Everett already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Everett breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Everett paves the way for another one to be saved.
