I am already spayed, up to date with shots, and good with cats.

Gracie's Story...
Come and meet Gracie. She is a fixed female, about 2-3 years old and up to date on all her shots. She was abandoned outside with her 4 newborn kittens. They've been adopted out and now it's her turn to find a home. Gracie loves to play, likes people, but isn't a needy cat and doesn't need a lot of attention. She's content to just hang out with you or another cat. She's a sweet cat who would be wonderful to come home to after a long day at work. She gets along with other cats at her foster home but I don't know how she'd be around dogs. Call Cindy at Southington Animal Rescue at 860-276-8564 for details. Other cats also available.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gracie, a Southington Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Southington, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Southington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southington paves the way for another one to be saved.
