Dusty's Story...
I like to keep myself looking handsome and svelte, and it's not that hard, really! It just comes naturally! I have impeccable manners and know I'm not supposed to be on the furniture, unless you want me to, that is! Before coming to FOHA I stayed in a foster home with two other dogs, a cat, and older children. My foster mom said I was better behaved than all of them. Ha, ha! Thankfully I have a chance to find a new home where I will be treated with the love and respect and great boy like me deserves. I'm an excellent passenger in the car and would love to take a ride to the dog park. (Hint, Hint!) I have a kind and gentle nature and would love a family who will appreciate all the love I have to share. (PLEASE NOTE: I can only be adopted in the DC Metropolitan area. There will be no exceptions to this policy.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dusty, a Aldie Foxhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Foxhound for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Foxhound dog from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Foxhound breeders who help with Foxhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
