Maya's Story...
Maya is a beautiful girl who was relinquished to our rescue by her owner after being found on the highway. The owner felt he could not give her the home she deserved given his work situation and so turned her over to us to find that home for her.

She's about a year and a half old, weighs 55 lbs, and got spayed last week. Her mom was a white lab and dad was a lab/sharpei mix - hence her adorable little ears!

Maya loves to play fetch with her tennis ball and actually brings it back! She knows how to sit and has gotten pretty good at walking on a leash during her post-surgical days. She is crate-trained and housetrained and rides well in the car.

She would do best in a home where she gets lots of exercise (a doggie friend, perhaps?) and love - but please no cats.

We are a small group of volunteers who saw a need to help the animals in our area (northern New Mexico). We do not have a facility; our animals are fostered and cared for at the homes of our volunteers.
